NextMed/MMVR21 Conference

The preliminary program for the 21st NextMed/MMVR conference is now available online.
The conference takes place February 20 - 22, 2014, in beautiful Manhattan Beach, California, at the Manhattan Beach Marriott Hotel.

The preliminary program details lectures, posters, and a variety of independently organized sessions you won't want to miss. More than 160 presentations will share emerging tools for patient diagnosis and care, medical education, procedural training, and healthcare intelligence.

While the plenary sessions remain under construction, we are pleased to announce the participation of these leaders in the field:

· Ted Berger PhD (University of Southern California)
· Jose Carmena PhD (University of California, Berkeley)
· Todd Coleman PhD (University of California, San Diego)
· Patrick Cregan FRACS (Nepean Hospital)
· Anthony Gallagher PhD (University College Cork)
· Elizabeth Hillman PhD (Columbia University)
· Mari Maeda PhD (DARPA Defense Sciences Office)
· Catherine Mohr MD MSME (Intuitive Surgical)
· Daniel Palanker PhD (Stanford University)
· Kevin Patrick MD MS (University of California, San Diego)
· Stephen Scott PhD (Queen's University)

Special Activities
Plan now to participate in the tour of USC's Institute for Creative Technologies, sure to be a conference highlight. An academic research institute, ICT brings film and game industry artists together with computer and social scientists to study and develop immersive media for military training, health therapies, science education and more.

In addition to the ICT tour, NextMed/MMVR21will feature exhibits, demos, and networking activities, all designed to complement the educational program, promoting collaboration and exploration.

The Manhattan Beach Marriott Hotel offers an affordable group rate of $149 per night. And through December 20, you can take advantage of discounted conference registration.

The NextMed/MMVR21 Organizing Committee invites you to learn and engage with scientists, engineers, physicians and surgeons, educators and students, military, and futurists who are actively creating what's next in medicine.
